You didn't show us your code but is it possible you're doing something like
this?

$hsp->expect

The method's name should be "evalue", not "expect".

In Bio::SearchIO::Writer::HSPTableWriter module are implemented some
arguments regarding the Hits, but if I use these I have an EXCEPTION.
Infact module search the methods in Bio::Search::HSP::GenericHSP.

here is the exception whit v 1.2.1-rc1
