Tanya,

I believe your default repository is set to "Bioperl". You need to set it
back to ActiveState, something like:

   PPM>repository

<this will list available repositories>

   PPM>repository set <ActiveState repository number>
   PPM>install GD

The syntax varies between older and newer PPM's, I think this is the old
syntax.

Subject: [Bioperl-l] Re: Bio Graphics - ppm install GD - error occurred

Hi

I'd also like to use GD.pm. I am using ActiveState perl running on windows
2000. When I tried the "install GD" command in ppm, the following error
occurred:

Error: failed to download URL http://bioperl.org/DIST/GD.ppd: 404 Not found

I've been able to install other packages using ppm. Does anyone know what
the problem might be?

thank you
Tanya
