[Bioperl-l] Ace failure

Am using SuSE 7.1 and CPAN install.

Successfully installed Bundle::BioPerl.

Am attempting to install bioperl.  It says that
I need Ace.

While installing Ace, I fail Test 1 with "Couldn't
establish connection to database."

I have tried all possible Linux setups for 
ACEDB_MACHINE (LINUX, LINUX_4, LINUX_LIBC5_4,
and LINUX_MAC_4) and they all get the same result.

Any ideas?
