I have put bioperl-1.1 and bioperl-run-1.1 releases in the usual place
ftp://bioperl.org/pub/DIST
http://bioperl.org/DIST
Download, test, debug, etc. We'll try and do 1.1.1 in a month or so
depending on how much new code and activity there is. The usual caveats
that this code may not represent the final API in a stable release,
modules/methods etc may come and go on the odd-numbered (developer)
releases. But please give it some use in non-production environments and
report and bugs or missing features to the list.
For the devs
------------
I'm not sure I ended up with the right tagging here as we had much
discussion and I have gotten too busy to go back and try and name tags
the same across the board. I didn't do a pipeline release because I would
rather someone else make tagging decisions and do this -- you should
probably remove whatever tag I applied to the current code as I realize
that new code has gone in. I also did not do a bioperl-db release because
I don't know what the status is - Hilmar/Chris can make that call and
will apply tag/branches where appropriate.
So Elia you guys can put the release tag and do a
cvs export; perl Makefile.PL; make manifest; make dist;
and put the tarball in the releasedir whenever you are comfortable with
the release.
