[Open-bio-l] irc channel

Hello,

The biojava project is planning a hackathon in January and were wondering
if it were possible to set up an irc channel to facilitate on-site &
off-site communication between participants.

We could register as a group on Freenode

or maybe thinking more broadly we should set one up for open-bio to allow
for cross-project communication?
