Yeah, I understand your pain... :-)
There is a way - using custom classloader. One of the JAXB developers 
posted it in his blog.
The bad thing that in this case you will have two versions of JAXB loaded...

Fortunately we have 6u4 which works just fine (at least in my demo 
http://inb.bsc.es/java/demo/demo.html :-)).
