Roman, this remark from Mark is true, but it may be obscure for you
unless you know details of the LSID spec. The LSID resolution service
specification actually specifies that the data/metadata resolution is done
in several steps:
- The first is called 'authority server resolution' (or similarly) -
and this will be done at biomoby.org. This returns back a list of URLs
(and protocols, but the protocols in our case will be only HTTP-GET).
- The next step is to use these URLs and fetch what they represent -
and this means that you are going to fetch RDF documents from the service
provider site (so actually the service providers themselves suddenly
become LSID resolution providers).
