[EMBOSS] "fasta" program

As far as I can see, fasta is a custom made application (or rather an EMBOSS wrapper around the fasta suite of programs) by Guy Bottu of BEN. Meaning it is not part of the 'official' EMBOSS suite.
I don't find info whether they consider it as free software or not.
