It is possible to use the EMBOSS program restrict (for positions of
restriction sites), if you parse the output. Genbank and EMBL entries
can probably also be parsed (using perl). But lindna (and cirdna)
aren't really worth the effort, they don't produce nice graphics
either. There are several plasmiddrawing programs that can draw linear
maps.
