[DAS] Omnigene vs DAS

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help me on this because I seem to be ready to pull my hair out! ;)

I've looked at OmniGene at http://omnigene.sourceforge.net/  and read through the docs, but I'm stuck!  

Questions:

The impression this rookie/newbie got from reading through the docs is that OmniGene is a user interface that allows one to
connect and browse Ensembl data.  I can't seem to understand the difference, if any, between using OmniGene and DAS.


Is there a difference?


If so, what are they?
