[Bioperl-l] Bio::Restriction::Analysis and nicking enzymes

Currently, Bio::Restriction::Analysis works on nicking enzymes. For those
unfamiliar, with nicking enzymes, they are like ordinary restriction
enzymes except that they make a nick in only 1 strand of the double
stranded DNA.

It would be useful to report, in some convenient form, on which strand each
nick occurs. This is because it is believed that nicks in opposite strands
that are close together may result in a severing of the double stranded
DNA.

Is there any plan to include this feature?

Thanks,

Mark
