John and Rob,
News of the release of these new classes appeared at the Bioperl Web site on
July 15, in the News section. I updated bptutorial shortly thereafter.

Because it's so cool?

Searching the web archive at http://bioperl.org/pipermail/bioperl-l/
doesn't work. The main difference seems to be these two lines:
http://search.open-bio.org/ : (works)
<input type="hidden" name="config" value="htdig">
<input type="hidden" name="restrict" value="bioperl.org/">
and
http://bioperl.org/pipermail/bioperl-l : (doesn't work)
<input type="hidden" name="config" value="htdig-mailman/bioperl-l">
<input type="hidden" name="restrict" value="">
(procrastination means always having something to do tomorrow).
Rob
