[Bioperl-l] GenPept

Hi,

I need to get a large number (~100.000) of GenBank protein records using GI 
numbers.
Unfortunately, I have too little experience with perl. I tried to do that from the 
GenPept file on a local machine, but with no success. 
Does someone know of a script or bioperl module that would allow retrieval of such 
data? I would be grateful for any suggestion.
