This kind of comes up fairly frequently. Would it be worth trying to get 
some sort of definative open-bio publication out (or set of per-language 
papers in the same issue of something) that was the 'way to reference 
us'? Perhaps a piece of a bioinformatics volume, or mabey someone could 
speak nicely to the people who organise the database issue each year or 
something.
