Pastel is a format independent graphics layer that
just happens to generate SVG.
There are two ways that can be done as I can think of.
#1. Replace all the GD call with Pastel call so that
Bio::Graphics generates SVG.
#2. Let Pastel handle the call to GD or generate SVG
Here is the psedocode
User file:
use Bio::Graphics::Chromatogram;
$ch =
Bio::Graphics::Chromatogram->new(width...height...etc);
$ch->set_trace(@a);
$ch->draw_svg();
or
$ch->draw_png();
In Bio::Graphics::Chromatogram:
The first case:
use Pastel;
draw_svg {
Pastel::Graphics->new();
