[Bioperl-l] Blast stuff

That's a tough move. It will force people to migrate their scripts 
if they want to switch to 1.2 (which is what we want them to do). I 
can imagine lots of people out there still use Blast.pm, let alone 
legacy code. Note that for legacy code the original coder is not 
necessarily around anymore - you'd basically create a maintenance 
headache for certain people or render them unable or reluctant to 
upgrade to 1.2 - you don't want that do you.

Can't we put strong statements into the doc saying that you have 
opened the wrong POD and you should be looking at SearchIO instead, 
and if you continue to read on you're on your own, will encounter 
bugs, reports of which will go unanswered?
