I think the benefits will outweigh the costs - and will give us a path
when we try and migrate SeqIO to event based parsing.  I just might need
some help in design at some point down there having never written
something like this.  Hopefully can glean a little info from biojava world
too.

Good learning opportunity I guess. =)
