How are we doing witht the release? 

Your candidate tar ball has not provoked anyone to complain as far as
I can see. 

The bug list at
http://www.bioperl.org/wiki/html/BioPerl/071BugList.html
seems to be in pretty good shape. The only outstanding one is #934
http://www.bioperl.org/bioperl-bugs/incoming?id=934 on not having a
version number on Bio::Seq module which CPAN treats as the key module
for the bioperl package. 

This issue was discussed before the 0.7.0 release but nothing was 
done to it. I suggest we add version only to Bio::Seq add a note of it
somewhere and leave other modules without explicit $VERSION. 

I am ready to commit those changes to branch ($VERSION = '0.7.1')
and head ($VERSION = '0.9') if this is approved.
