[Bioperl-l] Newbie request

Hi Folks,
I am a software developer interested in taking part in the exciting
developments in Computational Biology. Of course, it is entirely
non-commercial and purely out of personal interest. I have worked
extensively in Computational fluid dynamics ( largely in Fortran and PL/I)
and am experienced in program optimization and tuning. Right now , I have no
clue as to where I can start. Would appreciate suggestions from the readers.
