Bioperl: Working pvm app in perl

        statically linked

That's all it says.

A grep of nm libpvm3.a for 'stat' shows:

00000048 d rnstate
00003144 T pvm_mstat
000041b0 T pvm_pstat
         U stat


libperl.a doesn't have any 'stat' symbols at all, btw.
