... infact this morning I asked this question to the ensembl helpdesk.
I think this is a concern to many people, since ensembl derived sequences
become
a standard. Accordingly, an analysis based on ensemble sequences have to be
reavalueted. In this case it helps a lot to know what acually changed.
As we currently do not maintain an in-house installation of ensembl and the
access to
the kaka.sanger.ac.uk MySql database is not working ( yet ) for us, we would
depend on
the ensembl team to provide these files to us.
Others might be in this situation and it would probably usefull for the
public to be able
to download these file from the ftp site.
Congratualtion also to you and the ensembl team for this great resource.
Best, Rainer

Rainer - this is (obviously) more appropiate for ensembl-dev or helpdesk
at ensembl. We do store this information in the audit tables, but there is
no files built from them (the tables are pretty clear cut).
Arne or Craig (cc'd in here) can sort you out for which table to look out.
Just a reminder - Ensembl build 33 is due out on July 1st, so there is
some time yet...
