You might have a look at the Bean Scripting Framework from IBM. It's an
open source project that allows you to plugin scripting language support
into your applications. Currently supported languages include Netscape
Rhino (Javascript), VBScript, Perl, Tcl, Python, NetRexx and Rexx . The
Perl and Python support might help people currently working on the
bioperl and biopython to incorporate biojava into their development
plans. You can find out more about it at
http://www-124.ibm.com/developerworks/projects/bsf

Have any of you used beanshell? I'm having a look at it now, and it appears
to be a fairly sensible java-ish scripting language. Perhaps it would be
a place to start from for those of us that want a more 'scriptable' biojava.<br>
