[Biojava-l] Agenda for the Bootcamp (attention attendees)

We've worked out an agenda for the first half of the bootcamp
week (in the second half there will be some free-form development
work -- there's a list of suggested projects, but anyone attending
is welcome to make their own suggestions).

Attendees will obviously get a printed copy of this when they
arrive, but to give people an idea of what to expect:


Monday:

  9.30 Registration
 10.00 Introduction: basic concepts & interfaces
 10.30 First program: Location objects
 11.30 Distribution objects (+continuation of first
       project)

 12.30 LUNCH

 14.00 Sequence IO Workshop

      - Simple cases: SeqIOTools
      - More complex cases: The SeqIOListener API
      - Optimizing for performance

      - An Embl -> Genomics model filter (if time permits)


Tuesday:

  9.30 Blast and FASTA parsing
 11.30 Metadata in Medicine (followed by discussion on IDs?)

  12.30 LUNCH

 14.00 BioCorba introduction

 Evening:  Official meal


Wednesday:

  9.30 The distributed annotation service: servers and GUI clients
 12.00 Closing address, and discussion about project
       directions (rants?)

 12.30 LUNCH

 14.00 Lead into free-form group development sessions.
