There's certainly been talk of extra tutorial sections, but
they're a bit dependant on available time. I've got half
a chapter on the new I/O stuff, which I should be able to
finish over the holidays. It would be nice to also get something
written down about the new Symbol interfaces.

If you've checked out the full source tree (biojava-live) from
CVS, or downloaded the source archives from the FTP site, you'll
find a directory of (really short) demo programs. These don't
cover anything like the full range of features, but they might
point you in the right direction.

An archive of full biojava applications isn't a bad idea -- anyone
have anything to contribute? I suspect, though, that a lot of
BioJava applications are `one-shot' research scripts aimed
at answering specific questions, rather than applications of
general use.

Thomas.

PS. There's already one application, my DAS server, in the BioJava
CVS server (module `dazzle') -- feel free to take a look if
you're interested. We can probably host a few more applications
in CVS, so long as they're developed under an open source
       licence.
