thomas, thanks for the information. i use MacOS 9 at home with CodeWarrior and FreeBSD/Irix at work. All are stuck at 1.1.8 as far as I know. I'm getting more and more into Java so I'll probably buy an x86 compatible machine for home soon. also, MacOSX will have Java2 and it ships in July. ---matt
