Ack. Sorry - I had been trying to avoid syntax which isn't supported
by older Ants. I guess I messed up there. The Ant manual is pretty
good, but it doesn't always mention syntax changes between versions.

Felt a sense of urgency to check it in safely because local powercuts
had already caused it to be corrupted earlier that day.
