AFAIK no, it doesn't.
It is just a matter of mapping between XML objects and Python objects. 
As I have never used gbrowse_moby to test my services, I didn't know the 
MobyContent object was included in a body tag.

My soap call send the MobyContent inside a string object:
<v1 xsi:type="string">MobyContent</v1>
