[Bioperl-l] flock

Hello,

This question is actually more a perl question, but anyway.
I am using two concurrent scripts that use the same file to read from and
write to. 
In one script I use 'flock' to place a lock on the file when writing to it. 
My question is: how can I check in the other script if this file is locked and
when the lock is released.
