There's a Bio::DasI interface in bioperl which defines how to request 
arbitrary segments of an assembly given a landmark and offsets.  If BioSQL 
supports this interface, then GGB will run off it -- something I very much 
want to see happen.

My time for doing this is limited, but I can take a stab at it.
