[MOBY-l] How do I know if my service is working/set up properly?

Thanks to everyone for the tips and help on getting my service 
(extractGeneProteinNames) to where it is now. I think it is pretty much 
complete, but I wonder if there is some way to look at it and say, 
"Yes, this service is working properly and set up correctly". Should 
there be a certain pseudo-universal input that works?
