Cool,

I think you guys know best, how to interpret your RFC anyway.

Should we then revert the code from CommonSubs, so as to avoid 
duplicated code or do we stick to Perl's "there is more than one way to 
do it" ?

Do you have some code examples? We might want to put them in the 
tutorials and also hand them over to other tutorials on the web (I could 
do so for the TIGR wiki)
