FYI 
So, running from Saskatoon to Halifax (over the "dead zone" of
power-less Ontario) the new mod-perl MOBY Central executes the 30-test
suite in 13 seconds compared to 53 seconds without mod-perl.

that's a nice gain!  We might be able to chop a bit more off of that
still, because MOBY Central itself is making network calls to the
Ontology Server, which is not yet running on mod-perl...
