[EMBOSS] broken links and other issues

Hi Afif,

Yes, I 'm still here and keeping watch but not had enough updates to 
make a release worthwhile.

Many thanks for those two points. We had problems with the open-bio 
servers, and are working on rebuilding the wiki too.

I had forgotten about the mail archives as I don't use them myself, and 
we have not been using the sourceforge bug reporting - I will update 
those links.

If only you had mailed me a couple of months ago... I was in San Diego 
at the end of October for the tranSMART annual meeting at UCSD!
