[EMBOSS] dbigcg warning

Greetings,
I'm trying to create an emboss index in a directory owned by me of a 
gcggenbank database that I have read only permission on.
when I run dbigcg from within my index dir I get the following:
Warning: ajStrFixI called with length 2048 for string with size 2048

and the program seems to stall.

Any suggestions?
