Gustavo,
Good to see some progress on writeback. I added a note about your implementation on the discussion page for this wiki page:
http://www.biodas.org/wiki/Talk:DAS1.6E
There is a writeback portion of the DAS2 spec that would be of useful for comparative purposes:

Subject: [DAS] DAS writeback protocol extension
Hello all,
I have posted the first draft of my proposal for the writeback extension
in the DAS1.6E wiki page (http://www.biodas.org/wiki/DAS1.6E), please
feel free to make any comments about it, I will really appreciate any
feedback.
If somebody is interested, an implementation of that
specification(source code) can be found in
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mydaswb/ and I will setup a
server(internet visible) in the next days for those early users who
wants to play with that server.
Regards,
Gustavo.
