>From memory, they have code to talk to MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc,
but need a bit of plumbing to talk to SQLite too - where you don't
need a username/password and the database name is just a
filename. I don't recall any nasty surprises in their SQL
implementation.

(And some similar work is needed on the BioPerl-DB side.)
