Hi Caitlin,

Most of the new developments are in distributed biogems, see
http://biogems.info/. BioRuby core is effectively in maintenance mode,
but maybe someone can adjust my perception.

One of the most exciting developments is that EBI supports RDF

the BioRuby community would gain from supporting such initiatives.
