I probably missed some prior discussion of this, but any chance that the new
commit messages can actually include the (unified, possibly
truncated-for-length) diff of the changes?

My own 2 cents is that community-wide visual skims of the diffs provide a
valuable spot-check for typo's and other think-o's.  Plus it gives me an
indication of how major the change was.

A corollary -- might there be an RSS feed by which I could subscribe to such
diffs, rather than get emails about them?  Since the emails are sent from
"noreply", I already have to step out of the normal email flow to respond to
a diff, might as well go whole hog and remove them from my email
consciousness entirely, and place them with the other various information
streams in my RSS reader.
