[Bioperl-l] GSoC-2010 & the semantic web

Hello all,

I would like to know how to apply to the GSoC-2010, and when it is planned to be performed.

I think there are great development opportunities in information discovery using semantic web (I'm familiar with RDF in bio2rdf, uniprot and some onthologies, but it could also be useful to integrate OWL, for example).  I've been playing with this, and I think parsers from, for example, GenBank and EMBL to RDF, and parsers of RDF from bio2rdf and uniprot would be very useful, specially thinking in the implementation of SPARQL for a discoverable "bio-cloud".

The people of bio2rdf already have some parsers, but there are still a lot of things to do.
