[Bioperl-l] Bioperl

Hi all
      I am new to Bioperl. I have installed Bioperl in Linux. I am trying to
use one of the sample programs in bioperl. I couldnt figure out where to set
the http proxy authentication.
I tried to follow the  manual for installation. Still I am not getting it
right .
Let me know how to set the proxy authentication and where exactly it should
be set.
I tried to set env variables for http in .bashrc. Still its not working.
Help me out.
