You are trying too hard. You just fetch each gene by name. No need to iterate
over Parent, as that is not formally an attribute.
for my $gene (@genes) {
my $g = $tg->segment(-name=>$gene);
my @transcripts = $g->features(-type=>'processed_transcript');
}
Note that you must be sure that GFF3 name munging is turned *off* in order to
work with the flybase gff3 files.
