You could add a page detailing the changeover using the notes you  
have from Bugzilla.  You have already made an announcement on the  
mail list, so that's taken care of.  The only thing that is left is  
possibly announcing it on the weblog:

I think the sections represent accumulated changes for each release  
(changes between releases), so you could accumulate the changes made  
since '1.5.1' in a '1.5.5' section.
