[Bioperl-l] darwin PERL5LIB ignored

You should export the variable from your .bashrc
export PERL5LIB=/net/groove/lib/perl5/site_perl:/other_dirs
If you don't export it it will only get set for the current shell and
wont be transfer to other shells.
