[Bioperl-l] SearchIO update

Bioperl CVS main trunk users:

I'm planning on committing a slew of changes to the SearchIO system 
regarding the blast parser. The main change is that PSI blast parsing 
is being added to Jason's event-based SearchIO::blast module. This is a 
major step towards phasing out my SearchIO::psiblast module. It will 
still be available, but deprecated in the next major release (1.3 
probably).

Most of the new functionality happens within new modules, so the 
changes should be fairly well contained and won't affect things outside 
of SearchIO. There are some changes in the GenericXXX Search objects.

My commits should happen in the very near future (tonight or tomorrow) 
-- unless I get any requests to wait.

Jason and I will be working on the SearchIO system on the trunk, doing 
some things to improve the design, so expect things to be in flux for a 
month or so. The new SearchIO changes will probably be in the 1.3 
developer release.
