The bug list looks pretty good now I think. I tried to fix
everything that's remaining and important. Ewan, Jason, could
someone of you put a tarball to the ftp server in order to enable
people to test the codebase?

Shelly, what did the tests spit out on Windows?

I'd like to branch off tonight or tomorrow morning, hoping that
people don't spot a showstopper. Sounds reasonable?
