[Biojava-l] fresh checkout doesn't build

I confirm that a fresh checkout as of this evening builds okay,

   jdk1.4, cvs 1.11, on linux

I was having problems on solaris, jdk1.3.1, cvs 1.10.x.  I'll investigate
further, but for now I'll chalk it up to a cvs snafu...
