I am the one who applauds the initiative...
Even though I'm a little bit skeptical...

Is there any additional information to read about?

As you may know we (INB/BSC) already converted all Moby ontology to XSD 
schema and even have a WSDL proxy to our Moby services (based on this 
schema). Concerning SAWSDL this is a way to go without any doubts... the 
only pitfall is that it's based on WSDL 2.0 and Java has no yet even a 
draft of API that implements it (Perl?). It would take two or three 
years to have such an API (being optimist).

So at the time being this is nothing but a nice declaration of intentions.
