Hi,

I just had a similar problem with having the png and gd libs in a non
standard location on a Solaris system.
Did you try to give configure the png lib location? I think in your case
this should be:
--with-pngdriver=/opt/sasircm/drivers/drivers
Also if you look at the output from configure do you see any problem
messages about the gdImageCreateFromPng?
