[Bosc-announce] Early registration for BOSC 2012 ends on June 1!

Register now for the 13th Annual Bioinformatics Open Source Conference (BOSC 2012), a Special Interest Group (SIG) of ISMB 2012!

Important Dates:
June 1, 2012: Last day for early registration discount (registration is through the ISMB website, http://www.iscb.org/ismb2012-registration -- you can register for BOSC without registering for ISMB)
July 11-12, 2012: Codefest 2012 programming session (Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California, near Long Beach)
July 13-14, 2012: BOSC 2012 (Long Beach, CA)
July 15-17, 2012: ISMB 2012 (Long Beach, CA)

The Bioinformatics Open Source Conference (BOSC) is sponsored by the Open Bioinformatics Foundation (O|B|F), a non-profit group dedicated to promoting the practice and philosophy of Open Source software development within the biological research community. This year's sessions include Software Interoperability (a joint session with BSI-SIG, the Bioinformatics Software Interoperability SIG) , Cloud and Parallel Computing, Linked Data and Translational Knowledge Discovery, and a panel discussion--Bioinformatics Paper Reviews: Openness of Standards and Standards of Openness. Keynote speakers are Jonathan Eisen and Carole Goble.

There will be room for a few last-minute lightning abstracts and posters. If you'd like your abstract to appear in the BOSC program, please submit it by June 4. See http://www.open-bio.org/wiki/BOSC_2012#Submitting_Abstracts for more information.
