[Bioperl-l] problem installing Bioperl

Hello,

I'm having a problem installing the BioPerl stable release
(bioperl-1.2.tar.gz).

When I run make test, one of the tests fails:

t/Variation_IO...............dubious 

	Test returned status 0 (wstat 11, 0xb)
DIED. FAILED tests 13-25
	Failed 13/25 tests, 48.00% okay


I then ran the test in the perl debugger and obtained the following:

perl -d -Iblib/lib t/Variation_IO.t

I checked the bug database with Variation_IO as the search term but got 
no hits. So I'd appreciate any pointers anybody can give.
